Birth photography.
Just the phrase makes people raise their eyebrows.
I’ve heard it all:
“No way, that’s too intimate.”
“I don’t want anyone there.”
“It’s not beautiful — it’s pain.”
“Why would anyone want photos of that?”
And I get it.
Even women who trust me with their most personal moments — pregnancy, newborns, family stories — often say a firm “no” when I mention birth.
Until, one day, they come back.
With a different tone.
This post isn’t about convincing you.
It’s about understanding.
Because birth photography isn’t about showing pain —
